The tragedy of 80s college students

People with college diplomas were reputable many years ago. They had good reputation and income. So the Chinese people try their best to get through the college entrance exam. But time changed. When people born in 80s graduated from college, all changed! They were no more the apples in people’s eyes. Tens of thousands people with college certificates rushed into job market and begged for jobs as beggars. A great number of them failed to hunt their job even they lower their requirement on the bottom. Some college graduated only asked for 800 yuan a month and still lingering in the job market without being employed. However, a migrant worker can earn some 1500 to 2000 yuan per month easily in modern time.

What a tragedy age! The people have spent more than 16 years on pursuing their college diplomas and cost most of their parents’ savings. These people and their parents were expecting for a promising future. They used to think they would be value as people with college diplomas many years ago. Many parents of them especially the portion in rural haven’t noticed the tremendous changes of the era. So the 80s graduated are ashamed to tell their parents and relatives about their embarrassing situation. When people in their hometown admire them and their parents, who knows they are living beggars’ life!

College students are the lowest class in this age. Since tens of thousands college students graduated from college, people no longer value them. They are nothing in modern time.

The 80s college students are old enough to talk about marriage. But how dare they think about marriage? The housing price is too high for them to even think about. The poorest portions are the male graduated who have no houses or apartments. No woman will be their wives for they cannot afford a house.

I am one of them. I want to resign my job and to be a migrant worker or do some small biz myself. But I am the only college student in my hometown village and being admired by all the village fellows. How could I do the job as they do? What a ashamed to be a college student! What can I do in future?
