Someone has brought to my attention recently that I was mistakenly associated with one of the two feuding factions on Tianya. Worse yet, some even believed that I was a behind the scene instigator.
I have not found it necessary to clarify the misunderstanding, thinking that all parties involved are intelligent enough to know. However, emotion, rather than calm reasoning, seems to be the order of the day at Tianya; thus this note.
I am not an altered-ego of Mr. Dropped-dead-in-a-city-without-beautiful-girls (hereinafter referred to as DD for short). I have not masqueraded simultaneoously as a supporter and an antagonist of LeungSanBa/QQQQ/Butcher (LSB for short), writing articles defending and attacking him/her at the same time.
I am not in cahoots with Mr.LSB or Mr. D D. I have never communicated in any form with Mr.DD until the time I wrote him asking whether he could clarify for me who’s who. I have had great difficulties in following the conversation (especially the quoted and re-quoted messages), and was totally confused as to who’s who. Thinking that Mr. DD would know, I wrote him. It is entirely my fault and imprudence for not having taken into consideration that private messages would be posted out of context in public, and be misintrepreted by some supposedly intelligent and lucid individuals.
I can only blame myself for this: "Fool me once, same on you; fool me twice, same on me." I guess I have not learn my lesson yet. So I am here once again writing something that will undoubtedly provide more ammunition for the trigger-happy lot.
There is an off-chance all those fire-work are nothing but a show: people are just having fun playing the role they cast themselves in. Afterall, this is a virtual world, and, with apology to Shaw (or whoever), "We must all play our virtal part."
