商务英语书信的格式
（一）缩行式(Indented style)
缩行式信函的特点：
1）信头和信封内地址每逢换行时，下一行要比上一行往右缩进2—3个字母的位置；
2）日期放在信纸的右上端，签名放在中间偏右下方；
3）每一段的第一行都从左边空白边缘往右缩进3—5个字母的位置；
4）段落之间要空1—2行。
（二）齐头式或平头式(Block style)
齐头式信函的特点：
每一行，包括日期和签名等都从左边开始，每行取齐，成一垂直线。
（三）混合式(Semiblock style with indented paragraphs)
混合式信函的特点:
1）正文的每一段落的第一行采用缩行式;
2）除信头和日期外，其他部分采用齐头式。
格式问题
1. 格式问题：
1）请同学们在BEC的写作中采用平头式的写法；
2）收信人的姓名和地址置于信纸的左上方，日期在右上方；
3）地址、称呼和结束礼词后没有标点符号；
4）段落从定格开始，段落之间的行距为两行（但在考试中由于受答题卡限制，请酌情考虑）；
5）写信人的名字和头衔在签名下方。
2. 称呼和结束礼词的注意事项：
称呼的写法遵循下列原则：
Dear Sir or Madam 写信给某一公司，不确定具体的收信人
Dear Sir 对男士，但是你不知道他的具体姓名
Dear Madam 对女士，但是你不知道她的具体姓名
Dear Mr Smith 对男士
Dear Ms Smith 对已婚或未婚的女士
Dear Mrs Smith 对已婚女士
Dear Miss Smith 对未婚女士
Dear John 对朋友或你比较熟悉的人（通常为多年生意伙伴）
称呼与结束礼词存在对应的关系，请特别注意：
Dear Sir or Madam — Yours faithfully
Dear Mr/Ms/Mrs/Miss Smith — Yours sincerely
Dear John — Best wishes

表示附加：
in addition, additionally, and, similarly, likewise（同样的，也）, as well as, besides, furthermore（而且，此外）, also, moreover（而且，此外）, and then, too, not only…but, even, besides this/that
表示顺序：
firstly, initially（最初，开头）, secondly, to begin with, then, next, earlier, later, after this/that, following this/that, afterwards（以后，后来）, first and foremost（首要的）, last but not least
表示结果：
as a result, as a consequence, thus, so, therefore, consequently, it follows that, thereby, eventually, then, in that case, admittedly（公认地，明白地，确实地）, inevitably（不可避免地，必然地）
表示对比：
however, on the other hand, despite, in spite of, though, although, but, on the contrary, otherwise, yet, instead of, rather, whereas（然而，鉴于，反之）, nonetheless（虽然如此，但是，相当于nevertheless）, even though, compared with, in contrast, alternatively（二选一地，替换地，选择地）
表示肯定：
obviously, certainly, plainly（清楚地）, of course, undoubtly
表示条件：
if, unless, whether, provided that, for, so that, depending on
表示定义：
is, refers to, means, that is, consists of（由……组成，包括）
表示举例：
for instance, one example, for example, just as, in particular（尤其，特别）, such as, namely（就是）, to illustrate
表示理由：
since, seeing that（因为，由于，鉴于）, for fear that, that, on the grounds that（根据，在……的基础上）, in that（因为）, as so to（为了，以便）, because, due to, owing to, the reason why, in other words, lead to, cause
表示时间：
before, since, as, until, meanwhile, at the moment, when, whenever, as soon as
表示强调：
indeed, in fact
表示重复：
that is, in other words, as has been stated
表示总结：
in conclusion, in summary, lastly（最后，终于）, finally, to sum up, to conclude, to recapitulate（扼要说明，摘要，重述要旨，概括）, in short（简而言之，总之）, in a word, all in all
